Nearly 4,000 community, health and social services workers – our fellow OPSEU/SEFPO members – have been on strike or locked out for six weeks. They are fighting for the future of critical services that the most vulnerable members of our communities rely on. Over the past weeks, they have built incredible momentum, widespread community support, and drawn significant media attention. They are refusing to be ignored by Doug Ford or his government. They need our support to stay strong on the picket lines. We encourage members and Locals to make financial donations to support workers who are on strike or locked out This is a shared fight for all of us – as OPSEU/SEFPO members, as workers, as people who believe in strong public services, and as community members whose friends, family, and loved ones may rely on these services. Together, let’s help members hold strong on the lines! Below you’ll find information on how to donate. Click here for a list of all units on strike. Here is how you can support: OPSEU/SEFPO accepts electronic bank transfers. You can e-mail a donation by sending an e-transfer to etransfer@opseu.org. Please note your Local # and donation recipient in the e-transfer message, like this: “Local ____: Donation to Local ____.” You can also choose to donate to all locals who are on strike or locked out. OPSEU/SEFPO locals can make a donation to any OPSEU/SEFPO local/unit that is on strike or locked out by using their rebates. Please complete the form at this link. Mail a cheque donation. Make cheques payable to OPSEU/SEFPO and send to: Supervisor of Accounting and Payroll Services Finance and Operations Division, 100 Lesmill Road Toronto, ON M3B 3P8 Please note – It is important to include a description/ detailed note in the memo/message section indicating the purpose of the transfer and the receiving local (if not for central donation) so it can be accurately tracked.
