This form is to be filled out for nominations for the 2024 Health and Safety award presented by the Guelph and District Labour Council on Nov. 20th.  Nominations to be completed by Nov 1st 2024. Please note that we will contact the winning recipient and their union contacts.

Attention, Members of the Guelph and District Labour Council!

We are excited to announce the call for our annual Health and Safety Activist Award nominations! This award recognizes outstanding contributions by individuals in worker representative roles who have gone above and beyond in promoting health and safety in the workplace.

Who Can Be Nominated?
We invite nominations for any bargaining unit member in a worker representative role, such as:

• Health and Safety Representative
• Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Member
• Steward
• Unit Chair
• Local Union Executive Board Member
• President

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for this award, the nominee must:

• Demonstrate exceptional unpaid volunteer efforts in their representative role.
• Contribute to the elimination of workplace hazards and the protection of workers’ health and safety.
• Not be a salaried employee of the WHSC.

This is an excellent opportunity to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of our fellow members who have made significant strides in creating safer work environments for all.
